I haven't had any need for Windows software at all since I wrote this article, except for a few games that I run under Wine. Wine works plays them perfectly, is even more seamless, and uses far less resources than running Windows in a virtual machine would, so seamless virtualization is pointless for me right now. If I ever have a need for Windows software again on a regular basis, I'll probably try to get seamless virtualization running. But I don't foresee that happening anytime soon.
